20 Whimsical Doodles of Unlikely Predicaments and Curious Faces

My name is Glenn Cooper and I am an artist with a penchant for whimsical sketches oddball humor and vibrant abstract compositions. I call California home where I live alongside my wife Sharie our mischievous dog Gizmo, and our aloof cat Rocky. For many years. I have been crafting comical doodles for various magazines and publications. Recently, I’ve been sharing a quirky single-panel cartoon series titled Risible Cartoons on social media. My process starts with hand-drawn pencil drafts which eventually evolve into polished digital creations using a drawing tablet and illustration software. Each cartoon is carefully designed, whether it includes a caption or not to spark a smile or a laugh from those who see it. I am thrilled to present my Risible Cartoons here on Bored Panda and sincerely hope they bring some joy. For more of my amusing works feel free to check out my Instagram and Ko-fi where you will find even more humor-filled creations. Thanks for taking a moment to enjoy my art.

Each day kicks off with several cups of black coffee a ritual that seems to activate the mysterious corners of my brain. It’s as if the caffeine flips a switch sparking the creative side of my mind. Throughout the day, I am constantly mulling over ways to infuse humor into ordinary situations. Whether something is entirely bizarre or perfectly normal my thoughts quickly dive into a world of playful imagination turning the everyday into something unexpected or making the fantastical feel strangely plausible.

When an idea strikes, I quickly sketch a rough pen or pencil drawing and toss it into my ever-growing pile of drafts. The real magic happens on my Huion digital drawing monitor where the final version of each cartoon takes shape. Some cartoons come together in just a few hours but more often than not I save my work and return to it tweaking and adjusting until the joke or concept clicks just right. The process is a mix of spontaneity and patience until everything finally falls into place.
