We couldn’t help but wonder about Smith’s comedic influences, so we dug a little deeper. Turns out, his sources of inspiration are as varied as his cartoons. According to Smith, There are countless influences on my sense of humor. I’m drawn to the surreal humor of The Far Side, but I also have a soft spot for the understated charm of classic strips like Peanuts. I enjoy watching all sorts of comedy shows, always keeping an ear out for anything that could work as a cartoon. And sometimes, it’s the most unexpected everyday moments that spark a laugh. Comedy can come from just about anywhere.
