Looking for a quick break and a good laugh? Well, you’re in luck! Today, we’re thrilled to introduce Mark Lynch and his “Daily Cartoon,” which makes its debut here on Bored Panda. As Mark describes on his Facebook page, he brings a distinctive sense of humor to life through his cartoons. We couldn’t resist reaching out to Mark to learn more about the inspiration behind his work. When asked about what drives his creativity, he shared:
“It’s simply the ability to draw something that people can relate to and, at times, laugh about. I like to think of it as being similar to a stand-up comedian—just without the live audience.”

When it comes to influences in comedy and humor, Mark had some interesting names to share: “In the world of cartooning, I’d say, Gary Larson, creator of The Far Side, really paved the way for people like me to freely explore our ideas. I’m not trying to be his peer, but like millions of others, I’m a huge fan. I also admire many European illustrators who communicate their messages purely through images, without relying on words.”
As an Australian, Mark also has a deep appreciation for British humor. “From The Goons radio show with Spike Milligan to Monty Python, their brand of scatterbrained, offbeat humor was exactly what I loved. It always hit the mark for me!”
