The Winter Festival of Creativity to kick off the merriment, I’ve conjured up 20 festive cartoons to stir up some cheer Ho Ho Ho. It all began when I was a mere four years old sketching Fred Flintstone on the living room wall a masterpiece that thrilled my siblings and left my parents shall we say, less than thrilled. The Funnies have always been my sweet spot with favorites like Bloom County Calvin and Hobbes and The Far Side capturing my heart. Since those early days, my work has transcended walls appearing in magazines, newspapers, webcomics, greeting cards, and children’s books around the globe. I’ve had the privilege of contributing to esteemed publications such as The Saturday Evening Post Reader’s Digest and the New York Post. Oh, I was even nominated for a Reuben Award by the National Cartoonists Society just a little sprinkle of recognition along the way.

I craft each of my cartoons with the precision of a master artist on a digital tablet of course. The time it takes to bring one to life can range from a breezy hour to a more extended journey of 8 or even 10 hours, depending on how intricate the idea is. The beauty of working digitally is the freedom it grants changing colors on a whim adding layers of backgrounds and effects all while keeping the whole process seamless and electronic. It’s like magic but with pixels.

People often ask me if I have a favorite cartoon, and the truthful response is a simple no. It’s a bit of a paradox. The one I think is my masterpiece thoughtful clever visually stunning often gets ignored by the editor. Meanwhile, a doodle I tossed out last minute as an afterthought somehow cuts. It’s one of those strange little quirks of the creative world.
