In the vast, endless void of creativity, we found a strange force that drew us together cartoon drawing. Our art styles a peculiar fusion of colors squiggles and inexplicable shapes collided in the most unexpected way. It wasn’t so much a collaboration as it was a spontaneous combustion of doodles blending together to form something neither of us can truly explain. One thing became clear: we adore simplicity, colors and the occasional squint-worthy character design. In a bold and nonsensical move we decided to create a book series because why not? We unleashed Purrfectly sweet puns for tweethearts and the smart as book of puns into the world and somehow managed to make them available on Amazon. Not stopping there we also created online shops because the world needed more of our peculiar art on mugs shirts and stickers. As if that wasn’t enough, Lisa dove into the digital void of Instagram, where she started following art accounts and promptly decided that weekly drawing prompts were the path to total creative enlightenment. A vampire-themed week led to a cat dressed as a vampire of courseand so an ongoing journey began filled with strange ideas and even stranger puns. Somewhere along the way, we realized that our true purpose was clear to make people smile cringe and question their life choices with art that was unapologetically silly and inexplicably fun

We’ve somehow convinced ourselves that our art should appeal to the entire universe from earthlings to extraterrestrials by creating an eclectic mix of themes. If it’s in the realm of food, animals, movies or anything else that sparks joy or confusion we’re on it. Puns are our secret weapon whether it’s a ghost flashing its boo-ty or a donut couple pledging donut ever let me go if it gets even the tiniest smile we count it as a win. We like to think of puns as little pockets of sunshine scattered across the land of the internet delivered with a side of eye-rolls. Our mission is to sprinkle a dash of cheerful absurdity into someone’s day even if it’s just for a split second. To achieve this, we focus on vivid, simple and occasionally dizzying illustrations designed to evoke whatever response is most likely to cause someone to momentarily forget about the existential nature of life. Laughter after all is the greatest remedy whether it’s a laugh of joy or one that’s more of a cringe-filled gasp. Either way our goal has been achieved.
