“20 Dark-Humored Comics by Dave Blazek to Tickle Your Inner Rebel (New Pics)”

He is calling all dark humor fans! Today, we have a special treat for you, thanks to Dave Blazek and his series Loose Parts as Dave shared with us in a previous interview, “A good comic places the joke just below the surface. The reader kind of has to put it together in their head. It’s more involved that way. And it doesn’t insult the intelligence of the reader.” His work truly embodies this philosophy, and we think you’ll appreciate the subtle, clever humor. Scroll down to explore his latest Loose Parts strips, and if you’re craving more, don’t forget to check out our earlier Bored Panda posts featuring more of Blazek’s comics!

When asked about the evolution of his style, Dave shared, “I used to tell my daughters, ‘You can’t help but get better at something if you do it every day.’ That was true for me. Over time, my drawing became more confident. But what changed was how I could convey a joke not just with words, but with the drawing itself. The art started to carry more of the humor. Now, it’s oddly about restraint—trying not to overdo it, even though I can. I’ve simplified the art to keep that rough, quirky feel that works best with my humor. I’ve also minimized complex backgrounds so the cartoons work seamlessly both online and in print.”
