McNair’s journey into the world of drawing began at an early age with a pencil in hand and a mind full of ideas. Reflecting on her past she shares, I’ve been drawing for as long as I can recall. As a quiet child, I used my drawings to express my wit and creativity finding humor in images rather than words. For McNair, art became a silent conversation a clever tool to connect and share her sharp observations without uttering a single word.

McNair pursued her passion for art by studying drawing and painting in college. Today, she applies her skills at Family Brothers a small design studio where she creates both designs and illustrations. Our main focus is working with restaurants across the country so next time you dine out you might just spot one of my creations she says hinting at the widespread yet unnoticed impact of her work.

McNair stays productive because she doesn’t have a sofa in her small apartment. According to the artist with limited space she has to choose between working or sleeping, which helps her focus better. If I had a sofa, I think I would be tempted to lounge around more often.
