Once upon a time, a prince was cursed so that he could utter only one word each year.
If he remained silent for two years, the following year he could speak two words, and so forth.
One day, the prince fell head over heels for a stunning lady. Determined to express his feelings,
he decided to remain silent for two whole years, hoping to call her “my darling.” However, his desire to declare his love burned even brighter,
so he held his tongue for an additional three years, eager to say, “I love you.”
After five years of silence, he dreamed of asking her to marry him, which meant waiting yet another four years. At the end of those nine long years,
he finally led the lady to the most enchanting spot in the kingdom and declared, “My darling, I love you! Will you marry me?”
The lady looked at him, perplexed, and replied, “Pardon?”
