One day, a police officer sees a car moving very slowly on the highway.
It is going only 44 miles per hour in a 65 mph zone, holding up a long line of cars behind it. Curious,
the officer pulls the car over to see what’s going on.
Inside the car, there is an old lady driving with three of her friends as passengers.
The other three ladies look very worried, like they’ve just seen a ghost!
The officer walks up to the car and asks the old lady,
“Why are you driving so slowly?”
The old lady replies proudly,
“I’m going the speed limit! I’m going 44 miles per hour!”
The policeman smiles and says, “Ma’am, 44 is the route number.
The speed limit here is 65 miles per hour.” Then he notices the other ladies again and asks,
“By the way, are you all okay? You look like you’ve seen a ghost.”
The driver said, “oh we just turned off of Route 123 a couple of miles back
